“What is my superpower as an artist? Well…I can turn an old shower door into several thousand dollars art and create an optical illusion mosaic that would collect hundreds of “Wow!” reactions. Not bad, right?”​
I love making unique modern mosaics in two main styles:

Colorful mosaics made from tempered glass (shower doors, storm doors or glass shelves);​

Black & white optical illusion mosaics that often made from stained glass.

Man in a Boat
Mosaic created from a recycled shower door—its thick glass reflects shades in a way no photo can truly capture.​

Twilight Hues
The third mosaic in my collection is dedicated to my love for the mountains. This time, I wanted to capture the moment when the twilight light casts an almost surreal pink-violet hue over the peaks, immersing the viewer in thoughts of the infinite.

Purple Haze
This mosaic was designed as a companion piece to the "Twilight Hues" mountain mosaic. I used the same color palette and stained glass, with a circular element that mirrors the size of the moon in the larger work.

It looks beautiful displayed alongside its larger “sibling” or as a striking piece on its own.

Moment of Solitude
This is my first tempered glass mosaic in a series dedicated to the mountains.
In this piece, I wanted to capture that fleeting window of time at sunset—when for just a few minutes, the sun sinks behind the mountains and transforms the sky with colors that seem almost unreal. It’s a beauty no camera can grasp, a force you can feel in your chest.
You stand there, overwhelmed, aware that another day—your day—is quietly slipping away. In those final seconds, as the last rays of light stretch across the sky, you can’t help but count down: “10…9…8…7…”

Blue Serenity
This mosaic didn’t come to life immediately. The first painted design was beautiful but resembled a restless ocean more than mountain peaks—likely influenced by my experience with previous mosaics in the ocean style.
After countless attempts to define what truly sets mountain peaks apart from ocean waves, the second design was finally approved. And while I’d like to say the rest was smooth sailing, it wasn’t. Grouting proved to be a challenge, followed by capturing the subtle tones of the sky, which had to be perfectly rendered through tiny pieces of glass.
But after 2.5 months of work, Blue Serenity was born. This is precisely what I felt when I looked at the final piece—a sense of calm that I’m certain will pass on to the new owner of this delicate yet deeply complex mosaic.

Home
Colorado - my love, my inspiration, and my home.

This mosaic marks my third homage to Colorado. Here, I've combined stained glass, mirror, acrylic paint, and tempered glass.
​
While crafting this piece, there was a momentous day when I was driving my 8-year-old daughter home from school. She glanced at the mountains and exclaimed, "Mom, they look like your mosaic!" (Not the other way around!)

Twist
My most recent optical illusion mosaic made from mirror and black glass. Figuring our the direction of tesserae was probably the most challenging part as it changes each time once you turn the piece.

Ball of balls
While working on this mosaic I mastered circles glass cutting for sure. Each of this "white dots" is cut by hand...over 250 total!
For background I wanted to find something unusual and for the first time tried frit (crashed glass that is often used for glass fusing) instead of grout that gives mosaic a unique sparkling effect that you can see on this video.
It was another collaboration with Oxana Kostromina, a graphic designer from London, who kindly provided me with her drawing.

Firtz Muller Wine
The original painting of this bottle is a poster of a German wine company "Fritz Muller".

I saw the photo on Pinterest and within the next 5 min was already on the website site of this company, searching for the contact details to ask permission to turn this unique drawing into mosaic art.
​
The positive answer came shortly and the total process took me about a month. The hardest part was the "drops" that I had to make myself by cutting and frying fusible glass. It was a great experience!

Pink Mandala
